Everyone projects their own life view onto others to a large extent. We try and work out how others function/work by projecting our own stories onto theirs. Sometimes they can be close but at others totally mismatched. This video tries to express this by creating layers of visual manipulation; the photograph by Helmut Newton of a woman lighting a cigarette, the drawing of the photograph, the photograph of the drawing of the photograph, and the projection of the photograph onto reality. Yet still contained within a frame. Like ‘Chinese whispers’; passing on stories, views, and points of view, of what we perceive or see, or think we see. All the time the stories change yet still contained within a story. Our view interpreted by our own perceptions.
